The Black Keys have been the cats pajamas here in Northeast Ohio for a handful of years. J-Man and Double C felt it was time to rip their hesitation off like a band-aid, and set sail for their maiden voyage with Attack & Release. The album marks the bands fifth full length release and is the first to be recorded with a producer (Danger Mouse) and not in a studio that shares a permanent address with a band member. Attack & Release find The Black Keys filling out its traditional blues rock, minimalist sound with full arrangements of bass, piano, banjo, and more to accompany the modification to silky smooth production.
