After a five year hiatus Filter attempt to revive its nineties industrial alt. rock sound with its new album Anthems for the Damned. The release marks the fourth in the bands catalog and first since 2002’s The Amalgamut. Band founder Richard Patrick should have thought about that revival a little closer before putting a bow on this release. Anthems for the Damned is an embarrassingly mediocre return, with song after song reeking of radio desperation. Take a listen as J-Man and Double C find out what when wrong with Anthems for the Damned.
