If you listen to Polkadot Cadaver’s debut release Purgatory Dance Party you might easily mistake it for a Dog Fashion Disco album. Comprised of 3 former members of the now defunct Maryland metal band, Todd Smith, Jasan Stepp, and John Ensminger have done little to separate Polkadot Cadaver’s sound from their previous work. Still present are thrashing guitars, funky time changes, and spooky themes. Does this new project differentiate itself enough, or is it the same zany sound with a different name? Take a listen as J-Man and Double C rate Polkadot Cadaver’s maiden voyage.
