Mnemonic look to revive a forgotten sound in Alternative Metal with its latest release Pandora. The trio of Reno Nevada natives rely heavily on crooning vocals, lethargic crescendos and predictable break downs. Mnemonic at times loses sight of where its influences begin and the bands sound ends. Even with Pandora serving up a big helping of the J-Man and Double C’s preferred taste of yesteryear they aren’t asking for seconds this time around.
