This is a review in style. Forget about reading just push play and hear what the J-Man has to say about Yummy Fight, The Trend, and Falls Beneath in concert.
(Note:I forgot to make mention in the audio review of Shawn’s excellent drumming. Very solid performance holding everything together and keeping you on your toes at the same time. When I heard FB for the very first time the drumming stood out above everything. My apologies for this omission in vocal form.)

hey man you should have stayed to see heliofiction cuz they were the best band there……you missed out….and that was pretty shitty that you said you weren’t even going to concern yourself with mentioning thier name.
K kids……..sorry to dissappoint everyone, but Falls Beneath is one of the most un-original, un-creative, and boring bands in existence. The only thing the boys have goin for them is a good singer…that’s about it. Their music is composed of ripped off guitar riffs and borrowed ideas from other shitty screamo bands. All of the musicians are mediocre. Whos tired of hearing regurgitated material? I sure am. But then again, about 99 percent of the bands in the Cleveland scene (or anywhere else for that matter) are made up of mediocre musicians, playing regurgitated material, and hoping to make it big. Whats the difference between Falls Beneath and every other crappy screamo band in the scene? (yes this includes you Viadora, and Bleeding A Memory)…nothing. You wanna hear a good local band? check out Driver Side Impact, or Midnight Passenger, or Stiletto, but certainly not these guys. If you don’t agree with this, then you my friend are musically ignorant.
uh oh, apparently we hit a nerve and pissed someone off…hey man, no one ever said you had to listen to us….if you dont like us, dont listen..its that simple….but yes, we steal our riffs from other bands and borrowed ideas…all of our songs can be compared to other bands’ songs in the scene…i forgot that we’ve shared the stage with midnight passenger and driver side impact…and if i remember correctly we all enjoyed each others stuff and got along pretty damn well….i guess the 200 + people at our shows screaming for us and the other bands is a sign that we should just give up….

To Mr. Brightside: We just play the music we like, we don’t really care what you think, we have fans, and you’re not one. So, I guess just back off, no need to bring yourself down to a level of degrading other people because you don’t like their style, and make yourself feel like a hard ass. Childish? I think so. I fucking love Falls Beneath, they’re great guys for one, and great music. Can’t wait for Winter Fest when we jam.

I never said i hated the music you guys made, just wanted to point out the fact that it takes little to no creativity to create the music. Dont get me wrong, I love the fact that you guys are around…mostly because you guys make the more creative bands look…..better. So by all means, keep playing the music your playing, obviously some people are into it.

I love how people have to take shit for having a certain taste in music. I enjoy both Falls Beneath and Viadora I guess that means I know little to nothing about music. And Mr. Brightside’s opinion on music is obviously the correct one. So if you enjoy bands such as Falls Beneath, Viadora, Bleeding A Memory…or God forbid you secretly sing along to Good Charlotte or Simple Plan…You are clearly and idiot. It is a really good thing Mr. Brightside came along to inform everyone that we are not allowed to have our own opinion about music.

Im not saying you guys dont sound good, but I am saying the the material is uncreative, and unoriginal, but if thats what you guys are goin for, more power to you.

Who are you to question one’s intellect based on their opinion? Certainly your intelligence is now in question because you can’t seem to understand the difference between opinion and fact. Music is a matter of taste and what makes one band better than the other is all in the ear of the individual.
Sounds like you’re bitter because your taste in music isn’t good enough to make a ripple in a body of water bigger than the puddle you currently reside in. You can’t seem to stand the fact that Falls Beneath is making bigger waves than your “original” bands are.
Your elitist concept of music is not welcome here. Just because you think you can discern the difference between art and rip offs doesn’t make you the musical expert you act like you are. Just because you think you can discern skill based on originality doesn’t mean we all have to believe your opinion because you state it as fact.

NOT unoriginal we write what is from our hearts. The only reason I think you even started shit is because of jealousy. I don’t know maybe your fucken pissed off because you can’t write music? maybe people would have a little more respect for you if you did tell us you fucken name! When was the last time you heard our music? I know that when I started this band they were hardcore/scream-o as fuck, and over the past year I have see these guys flourish into awesome musicians we’ve actually taken time off to work on tighten our sound and presence. We all started listening to music, we honestly don’t like just to broaden our fucken horizons so before you open your fucken mouth and start talking shit maybe you should know the whole story and not assume what you think is right!

See we live in an age where it’s hard to even create you own sound, completely that is! Almost all music that you hear anymore is some sort of fusion ( A mix of different types of music) so if you really want to get technical almost all musicians are playing regurgitated music, because everyone is influenced by someone, you can almost go hey that sound like this band and they sound like this band too (weird). So to people saying that certain bands are unoriginal and don’t make good music think twice because its hard to make original music because most music anymore has been introduced, all different types, styles and interests.
So I guess you could say we sound like what is in our hearts and what just comes out when we are writing material. So next time your so quick to judge actually listen to the music and see how complicated it is, what was the process of which they wrote. Try and actually pick out the different instruments within the music see how they play there instrument because one musician to another could have completely different styles; such as, picking styles, beat styles and singing styles. Its all music and it all has structure and takes talent to play!
