Rage Draws 9 Grand Outside DNC

Rage Against The Machine drew an estimated 9,000 fans to its anti-war concert earlier today (August 27) at the Denver Coliseum. The band gave away roughly 8,000 free tickets, which were distributed via lottery, for the show. The concert was sponsored by Tent State University and Iraq Veterans Against the War.

Rick Rubin On Death Magnetic

Metallica has posted new “fly-on-the-wall” footage on MissionMetallica.com of the band and producer Rick Rubin talking about the new album and going over the song selection process, which can be viewed here.

Apres Vous Post New Song

Apres Vous has posted a new demo song titled, “In The Morning” on its official Myspace page, which can be heard here.

The Suede Brothers Live Video

A live video of The Suede Brothers performing its track, “Collar Blues,” off its self titled debut can be seen here. The trio have also entered Suma Studios to begin work on a new EP, which is expect to appear as a digital release first before being made avaliable on hard disc. No release date for the effort has been announced and will be issued through the bands own Bad Breaker Records label.

Led Zeppelin Write New Songs

Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, guitarist Jimmy Page and fill-in drummer Jason Bonham have started assembling new material, according to what Bonham told Detroit radio station WCSX. Front man Robert Plant has yet to take part in the collaboration, but the drummer  said there’s still no plans to do anything with the still-unfinished new songs.

Serj Tankian has collaborated on a song with Mike Patton of Faith No More, Mr. Bungle fame that will be included in the upcoming Russell Crowe, Leonardo DiCaprio film “Body Of Lies“. You can read more here.

Slipknot Stream New Album

Slipknot’s new album, “All Hope Is Gone“, has been made avaliable to stream in its entirety at Spinner.com. The album, which was released today (August 26), is the band’s first new studio effort in over four years, following up 2004’s “Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)“. You can listen to the stream here.
