The recent rumors appear to be true, a new project featuring John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters has taken shape. The super group to end all super groups have taken up residence in a Los Angeles studio to work on material for the bands debut album.

The news of the project’s existence was confirmed by Homme’s wife, Brody Dalle, in a recent interview. There is no word yet if this is the project Homme was referencing when trying to recruit Faith No More vocalist Mike Patton. You can read more on the story here.

Chickenfoot Member Hurt

Chickenfoot and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith suffered an extensive injury during the super group’s live show in Paris on Monday night. The band released the following statement about the injury:

“We are sorry to inform our Spanish fans that Chickenfoot cannot perform tomorrow night in Madrid due to a serious injury to drummer Chad Smith.

“Chad was performing on stage last night in Paris and during the show he hurt his right arm badly. He has torn his small bicep and cannot play the show Wednesday, July 1st. The band is very sorry they cannot play for their Spanish fans this week and plan to return as soon as possible.”

Poison The Well Stream Album

Poison The Well have made its entire new album “The Tropic Rot” available to stream online here. The disc is set to arrive in stores on July 7th through Ferret Music. The band have also stated that the special digital version of the release will include its recent “I/II/III” 7” series as bonus material.
