Here at Saw*Kick Media, we started with a group that was tired of the old-fashioned commentary that mainstream media puts out. Instead, the S*KM family wanted a site that really hit home with the alternative fan base – those people that wanted honest album reviews from real fans and a view on the sporting world from the bleacher seats.
So we do the best we can to provide you with insights on rock, sports and whatever the hell else we feel you need to know. Basically, we’re a cornucopia of all the social commentary you’ve been missing.

Today Marks the End, For Now

I am sorry to say that today May 15, 2007 is the day Saw*Kick Radio goes temporarily off the air. Take it easy. Sawkick.com will still be fully operational, providing you with weekly columns and podcasts, but we will no longer be able to broadcast live shows or play licensed music. This due in large part to pending rate increases from the RIAA. An increase that will more than double the amount Internet broadcasters have to pay in royalties, which sadly S*KR does not have the means to finance. Like I said, this is only temporary and Saw*Kick RADIO will be back as soon as it is within our means to do so. The best way for all you Saw*Kickers to make that happen is to keep telling your friends about this sexy online media haven. We thank you for your support over the last year and look forward to many more to come.

Round Table of Sports Canceled Tonight

Due to the intensity and importance of tonight’s NCAA championship game that pits Saw*Kick’s boys, THE Ohio State Univeristy, versus the defending champs and newest rivals, the University of Florida, The Roundtable of Sports is sitting this one out. Sorry for any emotional distress this may cause, but the stakes are too high and the panelists are too out of their minds. We hope you understand. The show will hopefully return next week, even though there are overwelming odds that a majority of the panelists will be painfully killed by the outcome of tonight’s game. Please pray for our safety.

Fantasy Baseball Change!!!!

Hey, everyone out there who joined the Saw*Kick fantasy baseball league, the league draft date has been changed. March 24 is a bad day for several of the team owners and we have decided to push it back to Monday March 26 at 9:30 PM EST. I’m sorry if this is now a problem for someone else. If it is, let me know.

Also, if you just read this and said to yourself, “Holy Crap! I never signed up for the Saw*Kick Fantasy Baseball League! Someone shoot me in the genitals!” Fear not. Go here and get all the information you need to sign up today! Spots still remain!

Take it Easy Alpha Talk

Due to irreconcilable differences Alpha Talk and Alpha Team 707 will no longer be part of the Saw*Kick Radio Family. We would like to thank Alpha Talk for the time they have given S*KR and wish them the best of luck in future endeavors. However, it is in both parties’ best interest if we go our separate ways.
