  1. Hey Double C where did our one fan from Iowa go?

  2. Is it corn season?

  3. You would think the chances are slim being the middle of January.

And now a word from James Earl Jones:

“They’ll come to Iowa for reasons they can’t even fathom… People will come Ray, oh people will most defiantly come!”

    Come on back Iowa guy.

  4. I’m still here fellas. Don’t worry. Suprisingly all Iowa people are not, in fact, farmers or harvesters of corn, so “corn season” does not affect me. I would like your opinion on a topic that apparently is going to hang around like a bad case of the clap, and that is this Tomlinson/respect/Bellichic fiasco.

Here are my thoughts, do with them what you’d like. I do agree with Tomlinson that what the Patriots did was a bit dis-respectful, and I give LDT some leway based on his behavior in the league thus far, but did he NOT see this coming? When you nickname yourself, do a stupid dance every play you make to show up the other team, and then get suspended for performance enhancing drugs, do you not think it will get thrown in your face at some, in-opportune time? So he goes out there to say or do something….ok….still pretty emotional, and wanting to prove a point…this part i can see. But does he really need to be talking about it 2-3-4 days later? Another point some people dismissed quickly, which should be made more of an issue is the comment LDT made about it being a reflection of their coach. Now, while I don’t think Bellichick would agree with what they did, does he not set an example by how disgustingly desrespectful he was to Mangini? Or the photographer he Stone Cold Stunned in the middle of the field to give that “fake” hug to Mangini? I mean come on, had he lost, we he have waddled himself, dirty hooded sweatshirt in tow, to the middle to give Eric a hug? I doubt it. It would seem he does exude disrespect with how he handles most situations and most in the NFL, from what I’ve heard, think he’s a complete asshole. So while I wont say he told his players to dance on the logo, his behavior seems to portray disrespect as fine by him.

  5. I totally agree with what you said. Irony is apparently lost on LDT. He really thinks his steroid abusing, sack-dancing teammate is the one being disrespected? I appreciate his going to war for a teammate. That’s very important, especially for a leader like LDT. But he didn’t have to be a baby about it. He whined. It made me lose respect for him. Maybe I won’t be so bummed when the Madden curse takes him out of commission next season. And as for Belichick, I respect him for his coaching job, but you’re talking to some Cleveland fans here, I wish he was never born. Well, that may not be enitrely true, I’ve actually been semi-rooting for the Pats and will continue to do so in this weekend’s game. I like how they do things. I’m not sure why he wasn’t a genius when he strolled our sidelines, but sour grapes aside, the Pats are everything I wish the Browns were and I just can’t root against them–not against the loathesome Colts.

  6. Well said Double C I concur.

Let's hear what you have to say:
