  1. I think Darren McFadden may have just had his Heisman game…good god, he found more green against this defense then Tiger finds on Sundays…

  2. His OSU gift basket is in the mail. They’re a pretty hot item this year. Dennis Dixon’s knee sent me the nicest little thank you card for his.

  3. I am sure you have about 3 more gift baskets waiting to be sent…what kind of war do you think it will be if WVU and OSU play…it’s a border war that’s never thought about…but that would be fun to watch…WVU’s spread against OSU’s defense…could OSU handle WVU’s spread thats better than Illinois???

  4. I say OSU loses by 4 TDs in that game. Right now I’m hoping Pat White’s knee is friends with Dennis Dixon’s knee.

  5. Chase Daniel Heisman hopeful??? 40 of 49 for 363 and 3 TD’s…that’s a good game, especially on prime time TV against the arch-rival…this kid is for real…

  6. Tim Tebow has like 50 td’s this year, that is unreal. I hate him more than any other player in the country but he should win the Heisman. But still, fuck Tim Tebow

  7. Double C, but the problem is, it seems they have rewarded players on better teams recently…and as we all know Chase is on the #1 team that has only 1 loss…that could come into factor…but if not I take Tebow and McFadden to battle it out…

  8. Revised Heisman Top 3:

    1. Tebow
    2. Daniels
    3. McFadden

    Everyone else

The rushing/throwing for over 20 td’s is just an incredible stat. He’s thrown for over 2,000 yards and rushed for over 800 yards.

  9. Hey Awful, how bout those “unbeatable” Pats last night. A backup qb made their defense look silly for almost the entire game. Little Tom doesnt like getting hit and Moss was afraid to go over the middle after he got his head taken off. Teams just saw the way to beat them. And that was an average eagles team.

  10. Fan, that Eagles team is far from average…if not for 3 tiny mistakes they’d be 8-3 right now without anyone thinking they were average…2 muffed punts against Green Bay, letting the pathetic Bears have a last minute drive to win, and AJ throwing 3 INTS last night…the Eagles lost by 3 points to the so called GREATEST TEAM EVER, when the Patriots had no turnovers and the Eagles had 3…the Eagles are a good team, just hiding behind mistakes…this is still the same team who won 6 out of the last 7 NFC East titles and went to all those NFC title games…

  11. They won didn’t they?

Champions pull through in the end, remember that.

Are they beatable? Yes. I rectify my previous statements to the contrary.

It’s games like that one, and the Colts game that makes the Patriots hungrier, and I like it.

So while I still feel confident about an undefeated season, I’m just not AS confident.

  12. Billy-
Sorry pal, if your record is 5-6, you are simply average. My Skins could say the same thing with “what ifs”. What if Moss held onto the ball against the Packers? What if Joe Gibbs didnt call a prevent offense against the NYG after being up 17-3 at half. What if the defense didnt give up 23 4th quarter points to Philly after dominating them? What if portis and moss didnt fumble 3 times against TB as they outgained tampa 420-190? They’d be 10-1 or 9-2. fact is, philly is 5-6 and is very average.

  13. What Billy aka Jimmy Gribben fails to realize here on sawkick is this: Don’t ever question the Fan. He’ll snatch your heart out and feed it to you on a kabob skewer.

  14. The Fan, the Eagles rank in the top 12(as of last week) in offese and defense in the NFL, but if that makes them a average team, let’s look at the others who enjoy being in the top 12 of both categories…Here’s thelist of teams, that rank in the top 12…New Engaland, Indy, Pitts, Dallas, Seattle, GB….combined record of them teams 55-11…so I guess that 5-6 Philly team is terrible, like they were last year before they won that division again…

The Fan I can understand you hating the Eagles though since they do win the NFC East all the time while the Skins keep looking at them from the bottom of the division most years….

  15. Billy-
So all those stats have equated to what? A 5-6 team with a QB who has lost it and now they have a QB controversy. They actually rank 17th in offensive scoring which ranks them almost right in the middle, which would also mean…..hmmm, i think average comes to mind when i think of someone being ranked right in the middle. They don’t have one win over a good team, but they do have wins over teams that are right around……..average. They also have losses to washington and chicago who are both…..average. Interesting. So I have a team with shaky qb play, who has an average record, with an average defense, and has only beaten average teams, and also lost to two average teams…..what should i infer by all of this. Yes Billy, they are much better than average. everything clearly points to that. I’ll tell you what, you keep living off past NFC east titles, and i’ll keep living off who has the most rings…..care to guess who that is between the two teams?

  16. I chose to live of the success that they have average WR’s…McNabb is shaky after coming back faster than most people would from a knee injury…wonder what happened when Carson Palmer came back in the proper time from that injury…oh ya yea he was shaky too…Philly hasn’t ever won the Super Bowl, they like the Browns won Championships before the Super Bowl was formed…how did the skins fair against New England by the way??? Oh that’s right 52-7???

  17. So did the eagles get a half a win or something for keeping it close, then choking againts pats or did they get a full loss like everyone else? 5-6=average. deal with it.

  18. Seriously man…take a few plays off.

  19. By the way, I love the fact that even though I just listed picks, that my column is still the most commented on.

I love my life, and I love the ones who hate me … you make it all worthwhile.

Let's hear what you have to say:
