Actually, J-Man, of all people, articulated that moment perfectly in our podcast when he said “I saw that ball go down the line; I yelped; I was ecstatic; I had new life. And then all of a sudden Kenny Lofton is on third base. It was the most serious moment of my life.”

well put, double c. i totally did a barrel roll off of my couch when skinner held lofton up. even if manny threw him out, (which he wouldn’t, and didn’t before, for the record) worst case scenario you have two outs but you still have gute on second, ah fuck it. i hope boston’s plane crashes into the rocky mountain range and they have to re-enact a scene from “alive” on big papi.
